Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

The project is a proof of concept (POC) focused on computer vision and machine learning to classify different types of objects from photographs and assess their authenticity in the context of anti-counterfeiting. The initial engagement is planned for three months, with a potential extension of one to two years if the POC is successful and receives the required internal approvals. No existing dataset is available, so data collection, preparation, and annotation will need to be carried out in collaboration with the internal team. The project is expected to start in early September 2026.
The primary objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of using computer vision and machine learning to classify objects and identify potential counterfeit items from images. The target is to deliver a concrete, functional POC within two to three months rather than an immediately industrial-grade solution. Success will be assessed based on the ability to build a representative dataset, develop a working model, and demonstrate meaningful classification and authenticity-detection capabilities. The detailed success criteria, technical stack, object types and volumes, data collection and annotation process, and deployment approach remain to be confirmed.
