About the job
We are seeking a hands-on Power BI Specialist with good knowledge of Power Platform with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience to support the modernization of our application landscape.
The successful candidate will design or review existing application, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Power Platform technologies. A key focus of the role will be first to rebuilding and migrating existing applications, reports, and business processes currently supported by Legacy systems in AppSheet, Looker,… into an integrated Microsoft Power Platform environment facilitating it using potentially copilot.
This role requires a strong combination of data analytics and business intelligence mainly with application development, process automation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. The ideal candidate will also have practical experience using artificial intelligence capabilities, particularly Microsoft Copilot for Power BI and Power Apps, to accelerate development, improve user experience, and generate business insights.
Goals and deliverables
Key Outputs
- Assess existing legacy solutions, gather business requirements, and define appropriate migration and modernization approaches.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, Power Apps applications.
- Integrate solutions with data sources such as SQL databases, SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, APIs, cloud applications, and legacy platforms.
- Ensure solution quality through data validation, security, governance, documentation, performance optimization, user training, and application lifecycle management.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in Power BI, business intelligence, low-code development, process automation, or data analytics.
- Demonstrated experience with Power BI mainly and in second Power Apps, Power Automate, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and enterprise data integration.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications or reports, with exposure to Google suite, AppSheet, Looker, Microsoft Copilot, Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric considered an advantage.
Skills and behavioral competencies
- Strong technical expertise in Power BI first and good knowledge in Power Apps, Power Automate, DAX, Power Query, data visualization, relational databases, APIs, and Power Platform.
- Ability to use Microsoft Copilot and generative AI responsibly to support application development, report creation, formula generation, analysis, and documentation while validating AI-generated outputs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into scalable, intuitive, and user-friendly solutions.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within cross-functional and international teams.
