RFP Created by Sukruth Guptha
The Magnetic Resonance Patient Care team from Philips located in the US is seeking 4 Engineers to work remotely from anywhere in India for this need. Out of the 4 engineers, we would need 1 Medior II (9-12 yrs of experience) to act as sort of a lead from India for this role and 3 Medior I (5-9 yrs experience).
Availability: Project is expected to start in December, candidates serving NP should be OK.
Work Mode: Remote (Willingness to work in overlapping hours with US Eastern Timezone)
Daily Budget:
1 Medior II Resource: 9680 INR per day (Maximum)
3 Medior I Resource: 7640 INR per day (Maximum)
Role overview
The client’s industrialization group moves products from R&D into manufacturing, in-house or at suppliers. Scope for project release of a new regulated medical device product line and its accessories across several roadmap phases, plus ongoing obsolescence work (drawings, assembly instructions, first articles, test reports, receiving inspection forms).
Offshore Product Industrialization Engineers (Remote, India)
Summary. 4 Remote engineers working under the on-site lead on the high-volume documentation and release work: drawings and specs, first articles, inspection forms, labels and supplier paperwork. The work is repetitive and scalable, so accuracy, speed and consistent use of the client’s processes matter most. The client approves and signs; this team prepares, reviews and recommends.
Responsibilities
• Update and review specifications, drawings and assembly instructions for obsolescence changes, supplier changes and new releases.
• Write first article plans and reports, review supplier measurement data against drawings, and flag out-of-tolerance results.
• Create and update receiving inspection forms and related supplier certificates (COC/COA).
• Prepare change documents: supplier change requests, engineering change packages, quality notification follow-up, and release packages in the PLM system.
• Draft labels from approved specs and convert them into production-ready label files, including country-specific versions.
• Prepare, organize and format process validation, APQP/PPAP and EMC test reports, and file them in the document management system.
• Pull and summarize data for investigations and decisions, and record the design review comments needed for the review form.
• Support BOM structuring and supplier outreach calls using the time-zone overlap, as directed by the lead.
• Use AI tools to search internal procedures, and verify every output before use.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronics, biomedical or industrial engineering.
• 5-9+ years in manufacturing, quality or documentation engineering, ideally in medical devices, electronics or another regulated industry.
• Ability to read and update engineering drawings, including GD&T, and to check measurement reports against them.
• Working knowledge of first article inspection, incoming inspection and engineering change processes.
• PLM/document control experience, preferably Windchill.
• Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work remotely from India with a stable connection, and to overlap with US Eastern working hours as agreed with the lead.
• Able to use a client-issued computer for PLM access where required.
Nice to have
• Experience with FDA, ISO 13485 or EU MDR documentation.
• APQP/PPAP or supplier quality exposure.
• Label creation experience, including CodeSoft or similar label software.
• BOM management or obsolescence and component alternate work.
• Prior work with a US-based OEM or an offshore support model.
