Project Summary
We are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to act as technical resource for the EMEA region, covering servers, storage, virtualisation and hardware. The role triages issues ahead of escalation to Infra, Network, Distributed or Security teams in a 24x7 secure production environment. Environment: VMware ESXi, Windows and RHEL VMs, Cisco Switching, Qualys, Skyhigh, Active Directory, ServiceNow.
Main Responsibilities
- L2/L3 support and issue triage for EMEA, with escalation and guidance for AMER and EMEA teams
- Maintain infrastructure SLAs on the ServiceNow ticket queue
- Patching, hardening, vulnerability and audit remediation aligned to IT security policy
- Deploy changes following Change and Problem management policies
- Ensure monitoring, alerting and business continuity processes for services in scope
- Participate in 24x7x365 on call support, follow the sun with global teams
Experience Required
- 5+ years as Infrastructure Engineer
- Design, build and run of infrastructure: virtualisation, storage, Windows and Linux
- Enterprise/data center hardware (Dell, HPE, Fujitsu)
- Scripting and automation to standardise and control environments
- Supporting Global Contact Centre, Business Applications and Agile Office Solutions
Preferred Experience:
- Professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, Security) or equivalent experience
- Infrastructure reliability and availability (monitoring and alerting)
- IT Production methods: ITIL, Agile, DevOps
