LOCATION: Philips Innovation Centre, Yelahanka
WORK MODEL: 3 days on-site, 2 days
WFH EXPERIENCE: 3–5 years relevant experience
Contract Duration: 1 year contract (potential to extend)
Maximum Budget (Please note, this is in pure sourcing model, i.e. the consultant will be in LBC payroll)
For 3 yrs experience - 6939 INR per day
For 4-5 yrs of experience - 11,184 INR per day
Role summary
We’re looking for a Backend Developer to design and build Python services for Data & AI applications. You’ll own API development, service integration, data access, and the operational quality of backend components used by product and analytics teams.
What you’ll do
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Design REST APIs with clear contracts, validation, error handling, and documentation.
• Build service components that can be deployed independently and maintained over time.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, queries, indexing, and data access patterns. • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Containerise services with Docker and support deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor service health, investigate production issues, and improve performance where required.
What you’ll bring
• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django and REST API development.
• Good understanding of microservices, authentication, configuration, and service-to-service communication.
• Experience with SQL databases and at least one NoSQL database.
• Practical experience with Docker, Git, automated testing, and API documentation.
• Ability to write readable, maintainable code and work closely with frontend, data, and DevOps teams.
Good to have
• Experience building services for analytics, machine learning, or AI products.
• Exposure to message queues, caching, cloud platforms, or observability tools.
